Polishing and Blasting

Polishing is a term used to describe a wide range of processes designed to remove surface defects and increase the glossiness of various surfaces. For example, to make, repair and paint some metal or wooden artifacts, you can use polishing to make the surface more beautiful and shiny. Polishing is one of the restoration works. Sandblasting, also known as abrasive blasting, is an approach to eliminate rust, unwanted material, paint and many other forms of contamination from different materials’ surfaces. In this method, high speed and pressured air is used to create a way for abrasive particles to collide with the part surface and remove unwanted contaminations. Sandblasting is a quicker way in comparison with other conventional methods of surface preparation and can create a certain degree of cleanliness and polish on the material surface.
